Established under the Madhya Pradesh Co-operative Societies Act, 1960 (No. 17 of 1961), the bank was formed to safeguard the economic interests of its members and to provide reliable, accessible banking services to the community.
Licensed by the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) in 1975, the bank began its journey with its first branch at Malviya Road, Raipur, supported by a modest capital base. Guided by the strong leadership of our Board of Directors, the dedication of our employees, and the continued trust of our cooperative members, the bank has grown steadily over the years.
Today, Nagrik Sahakari Bank Ltd., Raipur operates five branches across Chhattisgarh, extending quality banking services to a wider community. Our capital base has strengthened significantly, and during our journey we were classified as a Tier II Co-operative Bank by the RBI, reflecting our stability and sound financial position.
